User Experience
- Average FPS during fight at the gate in EZA-FM, zoomed out (no brackets): 20
- Average FPS - Zoomed in (no brackets): 9
- On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome) 6
- Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? No
- Did you notice any problems with the buff bar (above the ship ui)? No.
- Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:
- If possible, it would be nice to be able to change the position of the buff bar. Due to screen size issues, I have locked targets running from right to left right above the capacitor/module HUD at the bottom of the screen. So if left in its current position, I would have to move the target list up toward the center of the screen in order to keep it from overlapping the status effects icons. That would reduce my field of view quite a bit.
- Hovering the mouse over or clicking on a buff/debuff icon should produce a list of players generating that effect.
- On undock, sometimes the client would get stuck with the "Entering Space" window up, and fail to load the capacitor and associated UI. Pressing ESC to regain control of the ship, and docking and undocking, or docking and loading the CQ, resolved the issue.
- Still getting random red and white flashes, especially when ships warp onto the grid or turn on effects.
- Still getting random firing effect animations even if guns have never been turned off. It appeared as though a Machariel was shooting dread-sized lasers at my Abaddon, but looking at the Machariel it appeared as though my Abaddon was shooting it.
- Modules would not turn off. Client would report that the module "is already active." May have been due to load on the node, since modules in normal space cycle properly.
- Searching "10MN" appears to no longer retrieve tech-1 meta (Limited/Experimental) propulsion modules.
- The market itself is getting rather cluttered. It may be useful to create subcategories for some items. For example, sort armor hardeners into EM/Thermic/Kinetic/Explosive categories.
- On a somewhat related note, market search needs to be overhauled now more than ever, due to the increase in similarly-named modules. Players should be able to enter "gist shield booster" and get valid results.
- Overall, performance was somewhat better than on TQ. Client-side lag was noticeable, but seemed to be somewhat better than TQ.
